2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE – The Mercedes-Benz EQE 2023 was introduced at the IAA auto show in Munich as an electric alternative to the E-class and the first in a series of EQ automobiles from Mercedes-Benz. The 288-hp EQE350, which has a rear-axle electric motor, will be the first to depart. All-wheel-drive, 400-plus-horsepower models with a front-axle powertrain will be available.

The EQE, unlike the EQS, features a standard trunk opening rather than a rear hatch. The proportions are more intriguing than those of the BMW i4 or the most recent Tesla models, which we’ve seen on the road. The inside is equally futuristic, with light colors and an optional ultrawide “Hyperscreen” that spans the whole width of the cockpit.
Daimler is introducing the EQE as an alternative to the conventionally powered E-class. The four-door fastback is the E-equivalent class of the S-EQS class. In actuality, it has a more striking appearance than the EQS, with larger shoulders, a shorter tail, and a prominent front end. Despite sharing the same EVA2 platform as the competition, the EQ offers a number of features that set it apart from both electric and non-electric competitors.
“Hyperscreen,” on the other hand, portrays a dismal future in which passengers in Europe can watch movies while the driver is being observed by cameras. If the driver looks at the passenger screen, the material is deactivated. This is despite the fact that a plethora of assistance systems don’t claim to be “autopilot,” yet we assume they outperform Tesla’s features in some aspects.
While the EQE will include self-parking assistance, it will still favor the driver: if you prefer to operate the car manually in tight situations, you’ll like the optional rear-wheel steering systems, which will enable up to 10 degrees of steering angle at its highest setting.

The high-tech chassis features a four-link front and multi-link rear suspension, as well as an optional air suspension. The EQE line starts with the EQE350, which is powered by a 288-horsepower electric motor on the back axle. All-wheel-drive vehicles with a front-axle electric motor with a power rating of over 400 horsepower will follow. Keep a watch out for an AMG version as well.
The EQE’s battery pack has an useable capacity of 90.8 kWh, which is lower than the EQS’s 107.8 kWh pack. Mercedes claims a driving range of 410 miles on the optimistic European WLTP test cycle, so we may expect its EPA range estimate to be slightly lower.
The EQE aspires to be more sophisticated than its competitors, such as the Tesla Model 3, BMW i4, and Polestar 2. However, we have to wonder if the device’s power rating is sufficient to attract new customers. Yes, provided it can satisfy the needs of many current Mercedes-Benz customers who are satisfied with their gasoline-powered vehicles.

So, what about the cost? Unfortunately, the EQE’s official on-sale date will not be announced until mid-2022.
