2023 Kia Sedona – The Kia Sedona may be forgotten now that its name has been changed to Kia Carnival. Some buyers, on the other hand, may not notice the change and are curious about the enhancements that the Kia Sedona will bring in 2023. Kia has yet to share anything on the development of this vehicle. As a result, people are speculating on the design of the upcoming Kia Sedona.

It isn’t an SUV, but it isn’t a vehicle either. So, what is a Kia Sedona, exactly? Many reports indicate that this car is SUV-inspired, especially for its 2023 arrival. For the future, Kia is likely to provide the Sedona (or Carnival, as the case may be) a longer hood on its top. Its front façade is meant to radiate a forceful and sporty ‘vibe.’ Apart from that, finding out what’s new about this Kia Sedona is challenging. When viewed from the side, the car retains a sliding door and large windows.
As numerous websites have mentioned, these are the ‘indicators’ that this car is putting people carrier. The skid plate on the front of the vehicle serves as a reminder that this is a people carrier rather than an SUV. The full-width LED taillights on the back, as well as the tiger-nose grille and high-beam headlights on the front, are all features of the 2023 Kia Sedona. In the grille, a diamond mesh has been fitted. The car’s overall length is manipulated by the longer hood. This Kia model is 1.6 inches longer than the model before it. This isn’t a huge difference, but it does correspond to the car’s longer wheelbase.

Meanwhile, Sedona’s cabin grew into the minivan of today. Like today’s Kias, we expect the 2023 model to have a central console that meets the dashboard, which contains two 12.3-inch screens, one serving as a digital measuring cluster and the other as an infotainment screen. On the screen is a touch-sensitive climate control and a rotary gear selector. Smaller screens, analog meters, and physical climate control buttons will be found on lower-end models. And, at least in some markets, there will be enough space to accommodate a big number of people. On many Carnivals, seating for 11 passengers in four rows will be offered. Seven or eight passengers will be able to travel in the three-line variation. In one design, a second row facing back is also available. We’re hoping for a significant improvement in terms of high-end materials and technology options in the new Sedona inside. Kia hasn’t divulged any mechanical details about the new Sedona, but we expect it to keep front-wheel drive and a naturally aspirated V-6 engine.

We also know a little about foreign powertrain possibilities, but not much about what will be available in the United States. The 3.5-liter GDI V-6 delivers 290 horsepower and 247 pound-feet of torque, up from 276 horsepower and 248 pound-feet of torque in the 2021 Sedona’s 3.3-liter V-6. There will also be a 2.2-liter diesel engine and a non-GDi V-6 with less power, both of which we weren’t expecting to see on American soil. Kia also announced a number of handling modifications, such as enhanced power steering racks, updated suspension geometry, and different spring levels, all of which should increase comfort and refinement while driving.
2023 Kia Sedona Release Date and Price
We don’t have any official information about Kia’s US release date, therefore we have no idea when the van will be available in the US. Kia claims it will be available in Korea soon, followed by the rest of the world, meaning it won’t be in American showrooms until next year as a 2023 model. We predict the price to rise slightly beyond the current model’s starting price of $31,520.
